Dog Walking

When tasked to create an activewear piece, I wanted to create something quirky, yet purposeful which lead me to dog walking. This piece, which consists of a skort and a matching leashed tank, is trimmed with nylon webbing, lace, and d-rings. The inspiration of this piece comes from urban gardens and the moment of joy walking a dog can bring. It's extremely easy to get caught up in the rat race of life and walking a dog, even for a moment, brings a sense of calmness and joy. 

I also wanted to make this piece functional by placing d-rings on the leashing attached to the bodice so that all of the dog accessories can be clipped onto the walker, leaving them hands free. 

Also pictured here are a matching leash and collar made out of lace and the nylon webbing.
