Starter Marriage

The Inspiration behind my bridal separates was modern art, bad puns, and the strong independent trio from the movie The First Wives Club.

This piece consists of silk short shorts, a clipped chiffon wrap skirt, and a sweater knit t-shirt with the phrase "Starter Marriage" hand embroidered on it. The reason I chose to do separates in place of a gown is because it allows for more movement and practicality. The customer can get more wear out of these pieces and could even wear any portion of it paired with other pieces on her second, third, or fifth wedding. 

My ideal girl for this piece is someone who likes to have fun and might be a little uncommitted. She is someone who would totally get married for the sole purpose of having a really delicious cake and a great dance party.
